Visit the team of AVR Motorsports at their home shop
The owners of AVR Motorsports would like to invite you to their open house, which will be held on March 27, 2011 from 12pm until 5pm at their shop: 152 John Street, Barrie, Ontario. Refreshments will be available at the shop. Showcased on the day will be all four of AVR’s arrive-and-drive cars, including the Protoform and Stiletto (photographed), which are still available for the 2011 season. You will get a chance to meet the team, including owners Shane Viccary and Sam Ashtiani, along with Formula 1200 rookie and reining TRAK Sr. Rotax champion Andrew Waring.
AVR had a successful inaugural season, with Kevin Deevey posting a finish in every race, and just narrowly missing out on the rookie of the year. Owner and driver Shane Viccary posted a respectable 6th place in the championship, finishing as high as 2nd place.
Moving into the 2011 season, AVR currently has a four car arsenal, with owners Shane Viccary and Sam Ashtiani driving alongside the returning Kevin Deevey, and rookie driver Andrew Waring. AVR is still looking for prospective drivers to race the Stiletto and newly acquired Protoform.
Two weeks after the open house, AVR will be hosting a test day on April 10th at the Mosport Driver Development Track. The team will be looking to find someone to fill the remaining cars for the 2011 season. Registration forms will be available at the open house, or by emailing Shane at email@example.com.
